Sorry that I am so late getting this out! I was out getting our Bountiful Basket. For those in our area, and others that don’t know, Bountiful Baskets is sort of like a year round Farmer’s Market that comes to you every Saturday. It is a cooperative and you buy a basket of fruits and vegetables. The organization buys what is available and you don’t really get to choose what you get, but it is a great deal. There is a web site that you can look at to see if it is in your area and what the costs, and details are: httt://www.bountifulbaskets.org
You have to place your order online, that is how they know how to divide up the produce. You can also buy extras like breads and special packs, like Mexican or Italian. We love it! Sometimes the produce needs a few days to ripen, but all in all, it is a great program!
That isn’t the only thing going on today, there is a Kite Flight for reading a the Cedar Middle School lawn. This will take place between 10 Am and 3PM.
In conjunction with the Kite Flight For Reading, there will be a the Iron County Safety Fair , this will also take place at Cedar Middle School between 10 AM and 3 PM.
There will be a rummage sale at the St. Jude’s Episcopal Church this will benefit the Groovefest Musical Festival that is held during the Summer.
SUU is hosting North Dakota State in Softball at 12 PM.
SUU is hosting Western Illinois in Baseball at 1 PM.
I know that there are lots of things going on that I haven’t heard about so go out and have fun!
