There are many lakes, and streams within easy driving distance from Cedar City to go and try your hand at fishing. Up near Duck Creek you have the alpine ponds and the streams that flow in and out of them. You also have Navajo Lake near Duck Creek. Kolob Reservoir is also an easy drive from Cedar City. From Parowan, you have the Yankee Meadows and the pond in town that has fishing available. Up the mountain from Paragonah there is Red Creek Reservoir. Panguitch Lake is not too far to drive to get in some real good fishing.
Minersville Reservoir, New Castle Reservoir, Quail Creek and Sand Hollow are less than an hours drive from Cedar City. I know that I have left some other great fishing spots out, but you get the idea. If you like to fish, then Cedar City is a good starting point to have a nice fishing trip!
