365 Things to Do Around Cedar City…Christmas Preparations…

Tonight in Parowan there will be a Christmas Program held 7:00pm in the Aladdin Theater (Main St, Parowan), free admission.  So bring the entire family!

Take a break from the stresses of the Holidays.  Off the Cuff is the premier Improv Comedy Theatre Company performing short and long form improv at 10:00pm at the new Improv Training Center (913 S Main St, Cedar City, next to Staples and IFA).  This is a weekly show, and is a lot of fun!  Come on out and enjoy a good laugh. Saturday is a big day!  There will be a David Archuleta live in concert tonight at 7:30 PM in the Heritage Center Theatre (105 N 100 E, Cedar City). Ticket Prices range $30 to $35. For tickets and information call 435-865-2882.

There is also going to be the Groovefest Rummage & Bake Sale held 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM  at St Jude’s Episcopal Church (70 N 200 W, Cedar City). Bring the Kids!  Santa Clause will be at Video Outlet (27 N Main St, Cedar City) from 12 to 5:00 PM.  This is a great chance to have the kids tell Santa what they want for Christmas!

St. Judes Episcopal Church is also hosting the 3rd annual Carols of Christmas this will held 6:30pm at St Jude’s Episcopal Church (70 N 200 W, Cedar City) and presented by The Southern Utah Hand-bell Choir & The Accidental 5 Brass Quintet. This concert will be provided free to the community, but we will also be accepting donations for Hollie Kelly-cancer patient, wife, and mother of 2. So this is a great cause!  The suggested donation is $2 a person of $5 a family. There will also be a bake sale will also be available and proceeds will go to the Kelly family expenses for cancer treatment.

There will be another great cause going on, Strongman Ryan Malin will attempt to set a car flipping world record.  All while raising funds, This will take place at  12 PM (noon) at Toadz (432 N 100 W, Cedar City), “One Flip at a Time” fundraiser will raise funds for Toys for Tots.

If you have missed it previous weeks, the Fall & Winter Market held indoor at 509 N 200 W, Cedar City held 9:00am to 12:00pm. Fresh locally grown vegetables and fruits, Artisan cheeses, bread, jams & jellies, fresh eggs and hot food vendors. Vendors welcome, (Must have licenses if required). On Sunday, The Orchestra of Southern Utah will present Cedar City’s 71st annual presentation of Handel’s Messiah.  This will be held at 7:30 PM in the Heritage Center (105 N 100 E, Cedar City).  Admission is Free, seating is on a first come first serve basis, so get there early to get a good seat.  The doors will open at 6:45 PM.  The lobby music will be provided by Southern Utah String Quintet on Sunday and the Accidental 5 Brass Quintet on Monday.
