365 Things to Do Around Cedar City…Skiing, Dancing and More…

Can you believe that it is already time for Brian Head to open?  Me either, but it is the middle of November and Thanksgiving is less than a week away!  There is a lot scheduled this weekend so starting with today,  Canyon View High School is hosting the Talon’s Annual Craft Fair. Held Friday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm at Canyon View High School (166 W 1925 N, Cedar City). Local crafters and vendors will be selling holiday gifts. Enjoy fun, food, drawings, and entertainment for only $1. For more information call Sandra 435-865-1441.

Not to be outdone, the Valley View Medical Center is hosting The Holiday Jubilee held 6:00pm to 9:00pm in the concourse at Valley View Medical Center (1303 N Main St., Cedar City). This four day event will feature Santa Clause, holiday sweets, designer Christmas trees, wreaths, and live entertainment from throughout Iron County. All proceeds will go to supporting the expansion of the Sandra L. Maxwell Cancer Treatment Center and donations are tax deductible. General admission is FREE and open to everyone. Tonight also SUU is hosting the SUU’s Ballroom Dance Company’s “Winter Concert” held 7:30pm in Cedar High School Auditorium (703 W 600 S, Cedar City), admission is $8 adults and $6 students/youth. For tickets call 435-865-8370 or email ballroomdance@suu.edu or at the door.

The Rely for Life is having the Laps for Life similar to the Relay for Life where participants will camp at the Aquatic Center (2090 W Royal Hunte Dr, Cedar City) beginning 7:00pm Friday and will end 9:00am Saturday swimming laps all night. There will be entertainment and fundraising going on all through the night.  This is a great cause, so if you can, come and check it out and swim!

Tonight also has opportunities for other entertainment, the Off the Cuff is the premier Improv Comedy Theatre Company performing short and long form improv at 10pm at the new Improv Training Center (913 S Main St, Cedar City, next to Staples and IFA). There are some activities carrying over the Ballroom Dance program, the Holiday Jubilee goes through Sunday and the Talon Craft Fair goes through Saturday.
