This year is the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the Utah Shakespeare Festival. It was the brainchild of Fred Adams and began presenting plays in the Summer of 1961. For most of it’s history it was called the Utah Shakespearean Festival, but has since been shortened to the new name. Mr. Adams grew this Festival into one of the great Shakepearean Festivals in the United States, even winning the Tony Award a few years back.
The Festival also offers Broadway Plays, so if you’re looking for something other than Shakespeare, those are available. Come on up and check out the Festival! For more information check out: http://www.bard.org
