This is a fun time of year to be in Cedar City. It is also a great time to visit the area. The big Summer Events, like The Utah Summer Games and the Utah Shakespeare Festival have not yet begun. Normally, the weather is usually very nice, although we have had a cold front blow through with a lot of rain and snow.
The National Parks are open with the exception of Cedar Breaks National Monument, and with the cooler Spring weather it is a great time to hike a lot of the trails. You have to be careful, especially in the canyons and near run off streams, the Spring runoff still hasn’t gotten a good start, but other than that it is a less congested time to experience the Parks, and the other wonderful places that Southern Utah has to offer.
For those of that live here, it is a great time to be here. So come on up for a visit, you may just stay awhile longer!
